Now, if they will live-stream it, we’ll be all set. I would definitely live-blog that. Okay, yeah – no – I wouldn’t unless they tape it or start exactly at 6:30pm and end by 7:30 because folks, that my first City Council meeting of my term (next week I’m sworn in and there’s a meeting of the whole kind of thing at the Road & Safety/Finance & Planning meeting, but 1/20 is the real deal at 8pm).

Okay – let’s see how techie Hamilton County’s Dems will get so I can be mobile and follow for as long as I can.

  1. Just keep doing what you’re doing – I know you will do a great job and voters will still gain from the forum. It is only my personal preference that the two would be side by side because qualitatively, it will give us something we haven’t had yet in this primary. But I don’t think it is a fatal flaw for them to be separate – just not optimal. Women’s caucuses around the state serve vital, vital roles in making sure voters see and hear and get to ask questions for our political candidates and politicians. Thank you for making the effort and good luck!

  2. Thank you Jill – really enjoying your blog!

The Hamilton County Democratic Women’s Caucus (HCDWC), along with our co-hosts the HCDForum and the HCDParty are thrilled and honored to have Lieutenant Governor Lee Fisher and Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner as participants in Decision 2010. From the get-go Decision 2010 was slated as a Candidates Forum with the mission to bring these two dedicated politicians together for a neutral and dignified educational event. We, in Hamilton County, look forward to welcoming our friends from through the State of Ohio to Decision 2010, January 20th at the 20th Century, 3021 Madison Road in Oakley Square, Cincinnati 54209. Doors open at 6:00, the event begins at 6:30, free to the public, cash bar.

  3. Julie, thanks very much for hosting the event. I’ve read a bit about this thing where the two won’t be on stage together at the same time. If that’s the case, I’m a tad less excited – in part because I believe that Ohio’s voters desperately need to see them side by side to start clearing up the 50% undecideds. However, women’s caucuses around the state deserve a great deal of respect for at least trying to bring candidates to the voters. Just stand your ground with everyone. :)

  4. Decision 2010 is being taped by the ICRC (Intracommunity Cable Regulatory Commission) who has offered to share the tape throughout the state with any other community cable organization.Have your local cable contact ICRC @ ICRCTV.com, Pat Stern, Executive Director.

In addition, The New Left Media has responded that they too will be taping, most likely for a Youtube video.
HCDWC is thrilled to see you’ve posted the media advisory, there is a corresponding Facebook page as well http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=212246233300&ref=share

Best wishes on your first council meeting!

As for techies, I’ll “share” your post to see if there is anybody who can make it happen.
