It took me nearly 45 minutes to find this information on the Internet (because Time Warner’s site is useless), but at least it gives me a reason to be very happy with Cleveland.com’s television listing section (although I had to scroll through each day until I saw “Capitol Square” because I couldn’t find it through the search functions). Thank you. VERY much.
The Ohio News Now weekly political roundtable television show (also available on the Internet and I’ll provide a link when it’s available), Capitol Square, taped this morning, with me linked up by a fiber optic line connection from the WEWS Channel 5 studio and Matt Naugle of Right Angle Blog, James Nash of the Columbus Dispatch, Paul Kostyo of the Canton Repository and Dan Weist, the host of Capitol Square this week, in Columbus.
I truly was just a talking head, who could only hear everyone else – all of whom could see me – and I had to stare into a blank screen while listening intently to each of the voices as well as their words, but it actually was fun. The fact that I only had the other people’s words and not faces or body movements to go by helped me focus completely on their content, and I think my active listening comes through in my words. I hope. We’ll have to wait until Sunday to see how it all turned out.
Oh – what did each of us say? Let it be a surprise. And, I feel confident in saying that some of it will be a surprise, although maybe more in the “unbelievable” sense of surprise than the “why, I had no idea” sense.
