Setlist from Police concert in Vancouver, 5/27

That guy with the bootleg recording of the Police from My Father’s Place just sent this to me:

Setlist from opening night of the tour in Vancouver, 5/27

01. Message in a Bottle
02. Synchronicity II
03. Don’t Stand So Close to Me
04. Voices Inside My Head
05. When the World Is Running Down…
06. Spirits in the Material World
07. Driven to Tears
08. Walking on the Moon
09. Truth Hits Everybody
10. Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
11. Wrapped Around Your Finger
12. The Bed’s Too Big Without You
13. Murder by Numbers
14. De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da
15. Invisible Sun
16. Walking in Your Footsteps
17. Can’t Stand Losing You
18. Roxanne
19. King of Pain
20. So Lonely
21. Every Breath You Take
22. Next to You

The buzz is that Sting wanted to do a “hits” tour, the other two wanted to mix it up. Looks like Sting won the day — only real surprises here are “Truth Hits Everybody,” “Murder by Numbers” and maybe “Next to You.”

Lori – have an awesome time. I don’t have tickets. 😦 And the bar mitzvah pretty much cleaned me out. I’m hoping for a combined birthday, Chanuka, anniversary AND 2008 Mother’s Day gift purchase though.

  1. Aw man, I know every single one of these songs. My favorites are “Don’t Stand So Close to Me” (…young teacher, the subject of school-girl fantasy…) and “The Bed’s Too Big Without You” (…made love to my pillow but it didn’t feel right…)I just love that Sting and his lyrics and his wit and the fact that he was teacher before he joined The Police.Wow.He sent me to the encyclopedia so many times…

  2. I tried to get tickets here for Madison Square Garden and they were sold out within an HOUR of opening the box office, let alone Ticketmaster.I did see Sting with Annie Lennox at Jones Beach 2 summers ago and they were both awesome.I loved The Police. Sigh… wish we could both go, Jill!
