Just sayin’. Because based on the videos and the photos related to the Republican National Committee selecting Cleveland for its 2016 convention, I’m not seeing any, as in, none. Now, I’m not a big believer in the whole, “all the Republican party has to do is change its image” camp. I believe the GOP actually needs to examine and alter some policies based on realities of the 21st Century (like, 10-11 million immigrants who are not all going to be deported – things like that).
But for sure, the last thing either Cleveland or the Republican party should be doing is making everyone who views the media coverage about this engagement see nothing but men. All that will accomplish is reinforcing stereotypes that already plague both Cleveland (no one ever changes at the top leadership levels) and the Republican party (you know, the one that needs to train its political leaders on how to talk to women).
Please – some advice @CLErnc: change the ratio in the images going out, or our image is never going to change.
