Alternatives to NEOMG

What if we had a paper whose “About Us” page started with this:

We are a nonpartisan, nonprofit media organization that promotes civic engagement and discourse on public policy, politics, government and other matters of statewide concern. Our vision is to serve the journalism community as a source of innovation and to build the next great public media brand in the United States.

And what if, on its landing page, it had a category, in its main navigation section, for a Code of Ethics?

And what if in that landing page, it also had a category for corrections which, when you clicked on it, said:

We are committed to accuracy in our reporting, and welcome information about errors or omissions that warrant correction or clarification. Email corrections to us at the following address:

We don’t have to imagine this. It exists – though not here yet. And it’s not the only alternative (and that’s not all that up to date as we now have Watchdog Ohio).

What do you imagine as journalism alternatives in our NE Ohio ecosystem?
